Industrial Maintenance Utilities Mechanic

DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
The utility area maintenance IV mechanic, is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the following Utilities Systems:
Refrigeration, Steam, Air, Water, and Loss Prevention.
Mechanics within this department are the responsible for the operation, maintenance and record keeping for each piece of equipment that makes up the above listed Utilities Systems.
REQUIRED EDUCATION &
Experience:
4 years' experience (Industrial Utilities Maintenance or Industrial Refrigeration Experience) PSM Operator 1&2 Certificates or RETA CIRO /CARO Certificates.
Must have a working knowledge of current electrical/electronic controls used in the refrigeration plant Must be able to read and utilize Piping and Instruments Diagrams and Electrical Schematics for trouble-shooting Must be able to use precision measuring instruments for setup and fine tuning purposes Must have the ability to pump down the main refrigeration systems in the plant using Standard Operating Procedures and P&ID's Boilers Operators licenses, Compressed Air System Operation & Maintenance Knowledge Loss Prevention / Fire Protection System Maintenance knowledge HAZWHOPPER Trained, HazMat First Responder Certified AAS Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Technologies, IMMT, Automation Technology Technical Certificate in Industrial Control Systems, Industrial Electronic Technology Journeyman Millwright or Electrician Completion of a Department of Labor Apprenticeship in Relatable Field Documented Maintenance training program from previous employer Candidate should demonstrate proficiency in applied technology skills, observation skills, locating information skills, reading for information skills, and applied mathematics skills.
Candidate must be a hands on, self-directed, self-motivated person With knowledge of industrial Utilities Systems (refrigeration, steam, water (hot & cold), loss prevention and air systems.
Candidate must pass Hazmat Physical and medically cleared to wear Emergency Response Equipment (Respirator, SCBA, Level-A Suit, etc.
) Follow and perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment.
Create/monitor work orders as necessary to allow scheduled repair(s) and parts tracking/availability.
Assist in new equipment installation and equipment rebuilds.
Assist in back filling positions as needed to cover vacations and time off on other shifts.
As well as help provide coverage during working hours to all lines within the plant.
Ability to use machine shop equipment, (punch press, mills, lathe, grinder and hand tools) Mechanics within this department are the responsible for the operation, maintenance and record keeping for each piece of equipment that makes up the above listed Utilities Systems.
Recommended Skills Boiler Maintenance Psm Refrigeration Steam Utilities Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
